Dreamscape – Sketch

The theme for the 2nd session of our painting class at the Boca Museum School of Art is dreamscape. After doing a search online, I came across about 4-5 images that appealed to me. Most of them were landscapes of a computer generated nature. However, this Japanese animation appealed the most to me. I have done a lot of landscapes, but I have not done people before so I thought this would be a challenge. I tried to do some homework before class tomorrow.

Let’s see if I can transfer this to canvas, or if I chicken out and end up going with one of the landscapes. =) Hopefully, the instructor can give me some pointers on how to start.

Question by Zarathustra: What language did the first man (Adam) speak? And, is it safe to conclude, that God speaks the same language?
If God told Adam not to “eat of the tree of knowledge” is it safe to conclude that God and Adam spoke the same language? If so, what is that language today? Or, when God stopped the “Tower of Babel” –by making each worker speak a different language (in order to prevent them from being able to continue to work together to build a tower into heaven) was the “original” language spoken by Adam, done away with?

hello.
こんにちは。
i have taken about 30 lessons in rosetta stone and learned quite a bit in 2 weeks. but though it is an effective source of learning, it can’t be the only. i HAVE found a good way of teaching myself japanes on accident. i changed my keyboard layout to japanese, use a combination of google translator, an online japanese text-to-speech program, and youtube (to test my language learnings)
and actually, it is turning out well. but i need to know more.
i am a very very fast learner and was wondering,
what is a good way to learn without spitting up moolah? is there any software for free i can get?
(i dont care if its freeware, open source, or pirated) i like anime a lot and as i am 15 i still watch a lot of cartoons and i am also really into japanese culture.

What why and or how did you become interested in Japan/Japanese? Many members already know or share the opinion that the country is interesting, and the culture is intriguing. How was your interest started? Was it something in the mass media that sparked your intellec? Were you captured by a history lesson? This question or conversation topic usually comes up when I meet with other gaijin here in Japan.

For me, Japanese and Japan came to me. In enrolled in a Japanese conversation class just to fill my schedule to qualify for full time student. Fast forward to my first real job after college, the company’s business and projects had me travelling to Japan often. Skip, forward again and my transfer to Japan was offered to me from the Japan HQ side.

It is quite interesting that Japan made such Rapid Economic and Technological Progress even after suffering so badly in WORLD WAR II . And they have been providing Economic Aid to a lot of countries .
In India , we have a lot of awe and respect for them .
The Maruti Cars and Delhi metro owe a lot to Japanese .
