Agree with your comments about excessive complexity.

When trying to use the script I get the following:

Msg 3201, Level 16, State 2, Line 1
Cannot open backup device 'c:Program FilesMicrosoft SQL Server100ToolsSamplesAdventureWorks2008.bak'. Operating system error 3(The system cannot find the path specified.).
Msg 3013, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
RESTORE DATABASE is terminating abnormally.
Msg 5011, Level 14, State 5, Line 1
User does not have permission to alter database 'AdventureWorks2008', the database does not exist, or the database is not in a state that allows access checks.
Msg 5069, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
ALTER DATABASE statement failed.

Any suggestions – I am running out of hair!

Dear Sweet Garnet,

You are a much better person than I would be. I would of taken my water gun and demanded them to knock me out as soon as I got there. I think if they would not of taken me on time I would of passed out myself. Well its great to see how funny you can be about all of this. You are in my thoughts and prayers. 46.5% of the change in one variable, x, is explained by a change in the related variable, y.

C) y = [5.7506488 x 10^(-4)] x + 0.2917147652

D) Yes, presuming the predictions are not extrapolated (ie, predicting outside the range of the variable or above or below the highest/lowest data point, etc) but keep in mind that because our correlation coefficient r² isn't very large and therefore probably isn't the best predictor because the line of best fit isn't too good at predicting error. So yes, it CAN, but it probably shouldn't be used to make predictions.
