All right, the first kit definatly was not perfection, but this one is. I say review kit, because it really is a review. You need to have gone over the first kit, or have some other experience with the French language, to actually appreciate what this kit has to offer.
I saw that another reviewer said that they speak much faster in this kit. Well, yes, that is true, but it is very clear to me. Unlike the other kit, where you’d frequently hear background noises, in this kit you hear none. Well, at least not as much as the other.
Most of what you’ll find in this kit actually is review. They don’t teach you a lot of new concepts, but what you really need is a review if you just finished up the first kit of this series.
Also, they received a lot of user-input on how to improve this kit, and I have to tell you, it worked. One of the things that I enjoy is that they now have more practice with speaking the language. After every dialogue, they give you “Travaux Pratiques”, it’s a set of exercises which help you practice the material you’ve gone over in the last dialog. At the end of Travaux Pratiques, you get a thing sort of like Your Turn To Speak, well, it’s exactly like that, and it allows you to speak the language, something desperatly needed in the first edition of the series.
Anyway, this kit is very great, and it will put you at the head of your French class. I just started high school, I’m taking French I, and I am ahead of everyone else by far! I could probably move ahead to French II, or perhaps even French III. But again, if you really want to take advantage of this kit, by the first one too, it is a MUST.[keyword]learn+spoken+french[/keyword][yahooquestion]learn+spoken+french[/yahooquestion]

Hi
At Kalaheo High School in Kailua, Hawaii, we were encouraged by our Literacy Specialist to try RAFT. I used it with French II-IV. The students had great fun writing letters to Literary and Historical Figures, to the USDA ( a complaint from some Roquefort which wanted to visit the States..). The topics were not very serious, but I think the students learned and enjoyed themselves.
I can't think how many times I was asked to “write about summer vacation” or “write a letter to someone”. We were always lost and trying to figure out what to do. RAFT provided a framework and forced my French victims to write in French.
Thank you
@Kama It's going to take me some time to figure it out, but I'm always interested in little ways to earn money online.
What a dummy I am! I completely omitted in my post the fact that you can, indeed, share calendars. When I first started helping Christian get organized, he shared his calendars with me so I could help him schedule things. It was awesome to be able to see it or not see it at the click of a button. Thanks for that helpful hint!
Helpful hint: If you click on the picture when you upload it, it should put little squares in the corners. Click the picture again, and you can drag it to where you want it. Sometimes though, you have to have half the picture and some of your text showing in the window. You should be able to put the picture wherever you want it; that's how I do it, and I always upload pictures after I type everything.
My high school English teacher during senior year. My school offered 2 English course, one for college bound students (English A) and the other course (English B) for students who weren’t. I was a mediocre student in high school with a 2.4 GPA, I had little hope of transferring to a college after graduation but I still tried, I would have gone to any school that would have taken me (I really wanted to get away from my home life but that’s another story). To transfer I needed to complete English A and finish my foreign language requirement. I was terrible in my first year of French and barely passed (C-), when I started French II I bombed my first test and realized there was no way I could pass the class so I dropped and in turn dropped my transfer dreams. When I dropped the French class I also asked to be put in the easier English B class, I wasn’t transferring so why bother taking the harder course. My school Vice Principal was happy to oblige. After missing class for almost a week my English A teacher found out I had dropped the class so she confronted me during lunch period and told me she thought I was smart person and she was confident I could do well in class. She told me that she really wanted me back in her class. I had never had a teacher do anything like to me in my life, I didn’t know how to respond but I felt on the spot so I agreed to rejoin her class. I went back to my vice principal and asked to transfer back, which he refused, he said I made my decision and that was that. I told my English teach and she forced him (actually yelled at him from what I hear) to let me go back. The belief she showed in me had a huge affect on me, the rest of the school year I didn’t want to fail, so instead of floating through and doing a half assed job like I always did, I actually did the work. I ended passing with a B+. After graduating I went to Junior College, then State School and graduating with a B.S. in business administration with a concentration CIS. If it wasn’t for the belief she showed in me, and the confidence I gained when I finished her class (she was considered one the harder teachers) I know I wouldn’t have done as well as I did in college. If it wasn’t for her I really think I would approached Junior college with the same seriousness I approached High school and probably would have dropped out after a semester or two. Mrs. Rodriguez where ever you are Thank you.
Oh man, I did this back in August/September. That one exercise where you have to lunge to the side and lift the weights straight out in front of you? Yeah, that one still gets me. But that silly Shred is EFFECTIVE. Just be prepared to cry after the first day of level 2. And the first three days of level 3. Ouch. Helpful hint though? Take a day off every now and then. Don't go 30 days straight. That's just straight insane. Good luck!!!
(Bahaha, I didn’t even read the username before commenting. Hi again!) I wish I did something like that for French class.
