Eww. It's hard not to view 7 to 9 grand spent on either of these atrocities as a waste of perfectly good greenbacks. Better to put it toward a Corvair Spyder or Corsa, just as much fun and you can bring along a couple more friends (for example, searching completed eBay listings pulls up a nice '63 Spyder ragtop that sold for about $7800).
