purchased this to spruce up my pronunciation but found that this version doesn’t work with Windows 2000; however, I’ve now ordered version 8.1 which, supposedly, does work on my platform and will write another review after I’ve received and tried it.[keyword]learn+to+speak+french+software[/keyword][yahooquestion]learn+to+speak+french+software[/yahooquestion]

well, si vous avez l'accent d'alsace, then its not suprising that you would get mistaken for german, since Alsatien is basically a German dialect. Aquiring a foreign accent isnt a psychological disease, since accents are a result of the types of vocal sounds you are exposed to. When i speak english to my friends i have a New York accent, wheras when i speak english to my father i sound more caribbean. The same with french, when i speak to someone from marseille i get a more southern accent, but when i speak to a quebeqois, my accent becomes more nordiste.
Your accent seems to be changing because, as you have said, you have basically emersed yourself in anglophone culture. So you would inevitably affect your speaking voice when you speak french.
The REEM!!! yeah!
Parents can be homeschooling do just as good a job as public teachers. This doesn’t mean that because they don’t list that they can do better than a public school means that they believe they will do worse. Consider the case of someone sending their child to a French immersion school. Most would not say that the immersion school is better than all others, but that doesn’t mean they believe it is worse. Likely they are sending their children there because they want them to learn to speak French fluently, not because they believe other schools are worse. Here’s a more recent study from the US Department of Education:
I notice that Barack Obama wants everyone to learn another language, but which one should it be? The British learn French, the Australians study Japanese, and the Americans prefer Spanish. Why not decide on a common language, taught worldwide, in all nations?I think it is relevant that UNESCO will meet in Paris, on 15th December, to acknowlege Esperanto, as a living language, in conjunction with the International Year of LanguagesAn interesting video can be seen at A glimpse of the language can be seen at
