First off please let me say, Jan that is an appalling thing to say.
Secondly, I believe that all the other comments are absolutely amazing to read. I know their son David and he was going to start year 12 this year. Can you imagine how he must feel and how worried he must be having to go back to China and having to learn the Chinese curriculum and sit their HSC test if they have one?

Anytime over the past two years that I’ve gone to eBay to find something, all I’ve found is Chinese auctions selling cheap knock offs. Sad to see such an internet giant go down like this.

It is true that we now have more technology to find information and track the data that exists. The problem is still the quality of that data and what is missing. As I have said before on these pages (here and here ), for a true indicator of the market movements of a given artist or a given work of Art, we need a complete transaction register for every work by every tradeable artist. Until that happens we are seeing only a “managed market” view.

They are absolutely the funnest!! You go to a place that is hosting the tricky tray/chinese auction. The tables are full of baskets that have all kinds of goodies in them. An example might be a baking basket with anything you might need to bake with!! You purchase sheets of tickets, put the tickets in a bag in front of the baskets you would like to win. At the end of the night a caller picks a number, if you it's your number you win!
